ERV with Cooling & Heating

Dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) incorporates a dedicated unit to supply cooled, dehumidified outside air to the building in the summer and heated outside air in the winter. Combining the benefits of the total energy wheel with supplemental heating and cooling. Fresh outdoor air is preconditioned by the energy wheel, recovering up to 80% of the energy from the exhaust air, while the coil section further conditions the outdoor air to the desired conditions.

    Model ERCH

    Combines the benefits of the total energy wheel with supplemental cooling and/or heating. The result is a product that is specifically designed to condition 100% outdoor air to desired supply conditions. Model ERCH offers a wide variety of configurable options from intake and discharge orientations to factory tested and proven control sequences.

    • 1,000 to 10,000 cfm
    • Up to 1.75 in. wg
    • Cooling options: packaged direct expansion, split direct expansion, chilled water, water-source heat pump, or evaporative cooling
    • Heating options: indirect gas, electric, hot water, or water-source heat pump

    Model ERT

    Combines the benefits of the total energy wheel and cooling coil with a wrap-around heat pipe and/or heating. The result is a unit that is specifically designed to be the most efficient product for conditioning humid outdoor air to near room conditions.

    • 2,000 to 10,000 cfm
    • Up to 1.75 in. wg
    • Cooling options: split direct expansion or chilled water
    • Heating options: electric or hot water

ARI Certified products are tested for energy transfer effectiveness (sensible, latent, and total), cross leakage, and pressure drop. If a manufacturer states that their products are tested "in accordance with" ARI Standards that DOES NOT mean they are certified. To be certified, products must be tested by ARI and have annual check tests.

  • Psychometric Chart

    A psychometric chart is a design tool to graph a building's HVAC thermodynamic air conditions and processes. Properties displayed on a chart include dry-bulb temperatures, wet-bulb temperatures, dew point temperatures, relative humidity, humidity ratio, specific volume, and enthalpy. A link is provided to a downloadable software program that allows the user to electronically plot conditions on a psychrometric chart. This program version permits the user to enter state points and graph the air conditioning process, while also calculating additional air properties.
