a primer and is offered in solid colors. The standard industry
warranty for spray-applied Kynar 500/Hylar 5000 finishes on aluminum
louvers is 10 years for adhesion and 10 years against chalking
and fading. Please inquire for availability and additional cost
for a 20 year warranty.
Finish specifications
Before paint application, louvers shall be thoroughly cleaned
and pretreated. Cleaning includes complete submersion in acidic
cleaner, detergent deoxidization, amorphous chrome phosphate conversion®
coating and acidulated final rinse. Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 finish
shall be applied to provide 1.2 mils (30µm) factory applied,
baked-on film in accordance with AAMA 2605-98 Voluntary Specification
Performance Requirements and Test Procedures for Superior Performing
Organic Coatings on Architectural Extrusions and Panels. Color
shall be Greenheck (specify color name and number).
Intermediate Performance (50% Kynar or Hylar)
Finish description

and resistance against color fade and chalking. The same quality
ceramic pigments used in our highest performance option are also
used to make this intermediate quality coating. The standard industry
warranty for spray-applied 50% Kynar finishes on aluminum louvers
is 5 years for adhesion and 5 years against chalking and fading.
Finish specifications
Louvers shall receive factory applied, baked-on 50% Kynar or
