Kitchen Systems Make-Up Air Units

Greenheck offers both tempered and non-tempered make-up air systems designed to work with your kitchen exhaust system. You may select a stand-alone unit, or a combination package, which includes a combo curb, supply fan and exhaust fan. The package offers the benefit of only one roof penetration for both the supply and exhaust ducts, and provides compliance with NFPA-96.

    Models KSFD and KSFB

    Greenheck’s series KSF is available in a belt drive (model KSFB) and direct drive (model KSFD). Both have a compact design providing non-tempered make-up air for commercial, institutional and kitchen applications.

    Direct Gas-Fired Make-Up Air

    Greenheck's direct gas fired make-up air units feature 92% efficient burners and are offered in a wide range of air volume and heating capacities, cooling options and configurations.

    Model DG

    Model DG is designed to be the most economical approach to 100% outdoor air applications. Airflow volumes range from 800 to 15,000 cfm with heating capacities up to 1,600,000 BTU/hr.
    Cooling option: Evaporative cooling up to 12,000 cfm.

    Model DGK

    Model DGK is designed to be the most economical, compact, and simple approach to 100% outdoor air kitchen applications. Airflow voumes range from 800 to 8,500 cfm with heating capacities up to 850,000 BTU/hr.


  • Model DGX

    Model DGX

    Model DGXs modular design provides the most configuration flexibility and expanded heating and airflor capacities. In addition to 100% outdoor air operation, recirculation and variable volume airflow options are available. Airflow volumes range from 800 to 48,000 cfm with heating capacities up to 4,800,000 BTU/hr. Cooling option: Evaporative cooling up to 46,000 cfm. Chilled water or DX cooling up to 11,000 cfm


  • Indirect Gas-Fired Make-Up Air

    Indirect Gas-Fired Make-Up Air

    Greenheck's indirect fired gas heating make-up air units feature 80% efficient furnaces. Single, double and triple furnaces units are available with up to 8:1 staged turndown and 4:1 modulating turndown per furnace. All Greenheck furnaces are power vented to maximize the unit's life by preventing corrosive combustion gasses from condensing within the heat exchanger.

    Model IG

    This Greenheck model features a unique indirect furnace that includes an integrated downturned plenum. This eliminates the need for an additional section to achieve a down blast discharge. In addition to 100% outdoor air operation, recirculation and variable volume airflow options are available. Airflow volumes range from 800 to 7,000 cfm with heating capacities up to 400,000 BTU/hr (input). Cooling options: Evaporative cooling up to 7,000 cfm


  • Model IGX

    Model IGX

    Model IGX is a highly configurable indirect gas-fired heating system that incorporates a modular design for maximum flexibility. In addition to constant volume 100% outdoor air operation, recirculation and variable air volume options are also available. The IGX also has expanded heating, cooling, and airflow capacities to provide make-up air across a broad range of applications.

    • 800 to 15,000 cfm and 3 in. wg
    • Up to 1,200,000 BTU/hr.
    • Cooling options: packaged direct expansion, split direct expansion, chilled water, or evaporative cooling

    Non-Gas Tempered Make-Up Air

    Greenheck also offers non-gas tempered make-up air units for kitchen applications.

    Model MSX

    Model MSX is ideally suited for make-up air applications where hot water, steam or electric heat are desired. The MSX has a modular design for broad configuration flexibility. In addition to 100% outdoor air operation, recirculation and variable volume airflow options are available. Airflow volumes range from 800 to 45,000 cfm. Heating options include steam, hot water, and electric up to 21,000 cfm. Cooling options: Evaporative cooling up to 45,000 cfm. Chilled water or DX up to 11,000 cfm
