Greenheck Offers Coatings Guides
July, 2001
Greenheck offers two free product application guides covering performance powder and liquid coatings for the company's steel centrifugal and vane axial products and certain aluminum products. These technical bulletins contain useful information for air movement and control engineers, contractors and students.
Coatings are selected to protect against corrosion by acids and alkalis, weather conditions such as rain and UV, abrasion and physical wear, and process contamination. The two new guides cover this information in detail:
- Product Application Guide #FA/110-00 describes the company's seven distinct offerings in electrostatic powder coatings, which provide important delivery time and cost advantages to liquid coatings for many applications. The guide also lists relative resistances of each of the finishes to the most commonly encountered corrosive elements.
- Product Application Guide #FA/111-01 covers 11 liquid coatings that are required for severe or specialized applications that include high temperatures, chemical agents and other conditions such as high moisture. These coatings include a high temperature aluminum coating offering exceptional heat resistant properties up to 850ºF, and a coal tar epoxy offering excellent water resistance for immersion and below grade conditions.
These two guides provide customers and representatives with references they need to provide the proper coating for a particular application.
